Four current MRA signatories have signed up as the inaugural signatories to an extended APLAC MRA.
On 6 December 2007 4 current APLAC MRA signatories - A2LA, NATA, CNAS, IAJapan - were the inaugural signatories to an extended APLAC MRA to cover the accreditation of reference material producers. These are: A2LA (USA), NATA (Australia), CNAS (People's Republic of China), IAJapan (Japan).
The APLAC Chair, Mr Terence Chan of HKAS, Hong Kong China, congratulated all four accreditation bodies on their achievement, noting that APLAC's is the first MRA to cover RMP.
