The 5 APEC Specialist Regional Bodies (SRBs), of which APLAC is one, have issued 2 information brochures about their roles in the standards and conformance infrastructure in the APEC region.
The other 4 SRBs are APMP (Asia Pacific Metrology Program), APLMF (Asia Pacific Legal Metrology Forum), PAC (Pacific Area Cooperation), PASC (Pacific Area Standards Congress).
All five organisations have been recognised by APEC for their specialist regional bodies role, and all are represented on APEC's Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance (SCSC).
The two brochures (a short 2 page one; a longer 6 page one) are designed especially for the information of regulators, specifiers and others in the APEC region to explain the role of the SRBs in the APEC standards and conformance infrastructure, including their contributions to the breaking down of technical barriers to trade.
